Bridget Riley
The Musee D'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris hosts the French capital's first ever retrospective of the works of Bridget Riley, who despite her international reputation remains relatively unknown in France. Riley's abstract works, first developed in the Sixties, explore optical illusions, the use of colour and ideas of form and shape. This wide-ranging retrospective incorporates her early canvases, inspired by Seurat, the black-and-white tableaux of the Op Art period and more recent works - some of which have been specially commissioned for the Paris opening.
