Jerwood Contemporary Painters 2009, Norwich

Further to the selection of Fergus Feehily for Jerwood Contemporary Painters 2009, the exhibition now tours to the Gallery at Norwich University College of the Arts.
The national tour of the third Jerwood Contemporary Painters exhibition brings the work of 26 emerging artists to Norwich. All the artists in the exhibition have graduated since 2000 and are at a particular stage in their development, between student status and established artist. The vibrant collection of paintings is concerned with the debate about what painting is, and what it may become.
The exhibition is part of the Jerwood Visual Arts programme of awards, prizes and exhibitions that celebrates a range of disciplines across the visual arts, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and digital moving image. Jerwood Visual Arts is a major initiative of the Jerwood Charitable Foundation.
Opening Reception:Wednesday 13 January from 5 - 7pm
